Dear Amazon.com,

I am the author of Visions of Antelope Island and Great Salt Lake. Thanks for listing my book with a photo of the cover illustration.

You used to have a form where the author could comment on his book, but I cannot find my way to it. I would like to relay to you some comments from published newspaper and magazine reviews of my book. How do I send you this information?

Thanks again, Marlin Stum

Warships of the Great Lakes, 1754-1834
Published in Hardcover by Gerald Duckworth & Co. Ltd (17 May, 2001)
Author: Robert Malcomson
Average review score:

Undiscovered Fleets: Warships of the Great Lakes
The Naval Institute Press continues publishing first rate technical reference works with Warships of the Great Lakes. Robert Malcomson has surveyed the French, British, Canadian and American vaval vessels which operated on the Great Lakes, including Lakes Champlain and George. The author employs a clear, direct prose style to chronicle the story on inland naval warfare in North American from the French and Indian War through the War of 1812. He has also done an excellent job of tracking down contemporary illustrations of the ships and the actions in which they participated.

Malcomson does more than simply summarize ship characteristics. He places naval events and technology within the larger historical context. He pays particular attention to the design, supply and manpower problems which each set of builders and commanders overcame. This book will appeal to those with an interest in naval history and ships, in addition to modellers and war gamers. It also represents good value for the price.

Water in the lake : real events for the imagination
Published in Unknown Binding by Harper & Row ()
Author: Kenneth Maue

Simply beautiful...
I've never run across anything like it. This book gives you the opportunity of original thinking with exercises and ideas that stretch and twist the mind and imagination. The "pieces" as the author calls them are all the more impactful when actually done and not just read on the page. A wonderful read for free-thinkers and creative people looking for a delightful challenge and a quirky change of pace.

Water, Earth, and Sky: The Colorado River Basin
Published in Hardcover by Univ of Utah Pr (Trd) (May, 1999)
Authors: Michael Collier, John C. Schmidt, and David L. Wegner
Average review score:

A drop-dead gorgeous book
This is one of the most beautiful books I've ever seen. I wish they would have given details on the printing process for this book. I've never seen such vibrant, sharp, photographs in a book. They look almost as good as professionally done prints on photographic paper. As for the artistic merit of the photographs themselves, they are wonderful, something to get lost in.

A Week at the Lake
Published in Hardcover by Down East Books (June, 2001)
Authors: Grace Butterfield Dow, Siri Beckman, and Nan Mulford
Average review score:

I'm ready to move to Maine
A very brief journal of Dow's first wedding anniversary in 1932 as she and her husband take a trip to a remote lake in upstate Maine. Her sheer joy and appreciatation for the quiet, natural world around her make this a delightful read. She uses all her senses to describe the wilderness around her, and have no doubt, you will want to be at that lake immediately to experience the same beauty she witnesses. A wonderful book.

Great resource
This is one of the finest books on Midwestern wildflowers. I originally bought the book for my mother and then needed one for myself. I continually pour through this book in anticipation of spring and as I find something in the woods that needs identifying. The book contains great pictures and is organized in general order of appearance in the wild.
